Michael Fenemore
HAMLET, PRINCE OF DENMARK
Michael Fenemore has been a student of theatre and film for much of his life. His credits include Trepidation for Lady Scopio Productions which has screened on UK & NZ TV, the feature film Model Behaviour for NH Productions and the Net Series IRON CITY (Not our 1978) and Oz Linked. Michael's theatre credits include Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire, Larry in Patrick Marber's Closer, Ricky Roma in David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross, Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps, Macbeth in the Bard’s Scottish play, Robert in Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, Alan Turing in Breaking the Code and as the title character in The Elephant Man (Lyrebird Award – Best Actor in a Drama). Michael is a student of the Film Space under Aleksi Vellis and is a graduate of NIDA’s 2010
Summer open program. Michael is the producer / creative director of Avid Theatre.

Anthony Edward
CLAUDIUS, KING OF DENMARK
After taking a break from acting to focus on raising a family, Anthony returned to the stage in 2018 playing Capulet in GJ’s production of Romeo and Juliet. This was followed with HTC’s A View from the Bridge as Louis; Vernon, in Pep Production’s The Breakfast Club, Colonel Proctor and various supporting roles in the Playhouse Players around the world in 80 Days, The Cop, in Clue (also with The Playhouse Players) The Knack’s Theatre’s The Cuddle Parlour playing John/ Russell, and most recently playing Terry in Five by Five’s The Charade. He has also performed in several short films including the lead in ‘Firelight’ by Cathy Nickson which is currently in post-production. Anthony is excited to be part of this fantastic cast in one of his favourite Shakespeare plays.

Alayne Wright
GERTRUDE, QUEEN OF DENMARK
Alayne Wright has had extensive experience in Community and Independent Theatre over the last 30 years. She completed The NZ Theatre Federation’s residential program then commenced a close association with Dunedin’s Globe Theatre Company performing in a number of classical works including Hamlet, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Macbeth. In Melbourne, selected credits include: *Torch Song, Dinner with Friends, Time Stands Still *(Brighton Theatre), *God of Carnage, The Shell Seekers, The Dixie Swim Club *(Peridot Theatre), The Vortex (Malvern Theatre), 84 Charing Cross Road, Boy Gets Girl, See How They Run (1812 Theatre), and 8 (The Fabulous Nobodys).
She is delighted to be working with Nicholas Opolski again, and excited to be cast as Gertrude in AVID’s production of Hamlet. Having played Ophelia in the late 1980s, she’s now keen to tackle this character who’s at the other end of her career in the Danish court.

GHOST OF KING HAMLET
Nicholas has made many appearances as an actor since graduating from NIDA in the 1980s. On television, he has had long-running roles in 'Neighbours', and 300 episodes of the iconic 'Bananas in Pyjamas". He has worked with Sydney Theatre Company, Nimrod, Belvoir St, La Mama and made many appearances with independent and community theatres in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne. Shakespeare performances include roles in 'Macbeth', 'The Taming of the Shrew', 'The Comedy of Errors', and 'Hamlet'. As director, his productions include 'Dracula', 'Chilling and Killing My Annabel Lee', 'Twentieth Century', ' And Then There Were None', 'The Lady in the Van', 'Dinner with Friends', and 'Virginia'. He is Artistic Director of The Malvern Theatre Company.

Don Nicholson
POLONIUS, LORD CHAMBERLAIN
Don is a local character actor who performs across community and independent theatre productions.
He has most recently appeared in 'Another F*#king Press Conference' during its premier at the 2023 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Since emerging from COVID lockdown, Don has performed in 'The Songs of a Sentimental Bloke' by CJ Dennis, 'Visitors' by Barney Norris, Coward’s 'Present Laughter', and Miller’s 'A View From the Bridge'.

Charlee Liddell
OPHELIA, DAUGHTER OF POLONIUS
Charlee Liddell is a Melbourne and Gold Coast based actor who, along with her love for the arts, was fascinated with how her favourite films, series, and theatre productions were made. Wanting to be involved in the magic herself, Charlee was drawn to acting.
A student of the Meisner Technique, taught by Justin Lehmann, as well as completing various studies at 16th Street Actor’s Studio, The National Theatre, and The Actor’s Club. Charlee is always looking to further her skills and knowledge by working with other creatives in the industry.
Charlee’s film credits include the Queensland feature film Syb and The Myth (Claire). Shorts such as Safe in Sound (Isla), Vertigo (Lucille), Enlightened (Mystery Woman) along with Wish You Were Here (Lisbeth). Charlee was delighted to jump back into the theatre space last year as Annie Edwards, in Emily McKendry’s The Haunting. As well as taking on Edward Albee’s, The Lady from Dubuque, where she portrayed Jo.

LAERTES, SON OF POLONIUS
Don’t be fooled by the rocks: Ryan “the walking shadow” Fahlbusch still remembers his roots. Beginning his acting career with backyard spectaculars and home-movie classics, Ryan has always had a keen interest in theatre and the arts. Over the years. Ryan has tried his hand at all aspects of theatrical production: directing ArkFest short play finalist Close Enough (2018); composing and performing live keyboard accompaniment for Avid’s A Streetcar Named Desire (2019); and operating tech for BottledSnail’s Witness for the Prosecution (2023).
Now, Ryan is thrilled to be back on stage, taking on the challenge of Laertes in what is arguably The Bard’s greatest work. Other local acting credits include Tom in Encore’s Away (2018), Barnette Lloyd in Peridot’s Crimes of the Heart (2019), and Maxwell Smart in Malvern Primary School’s production of Grade 6 Concert (2006).Please enjoy the show!

Claire Baldwin
HORATIO / ROSENCRANTZ
Claire Baldwin has been a storyteller and performer across a range of mediums from a young age. As an actor, Claire has trained at NIDA, VCA, The Australian Shakespeare Company, The Prague Shakespeare Company and the Film and Television Studio International.
Her screen credits include guest roles in ‘Wentworth: Season 8’ and ‘Halifax: Retribution’, and the recurring role of Officer Pereira in ‘The Secrets She Keeps’ Season 2. With a particular fondness for theatre, Claire has enjoyed the roles of Lady Grey / Queen Elizabeth in an adaptation of Shakespeare’s history plays called ‘The Death of Kings’; Lady Olivia in ‘Twelfth Night’; Dromio of Ephesus in ‘A Comedy of Errors’; Hippolyta & Cobweb in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’; Frances in ‘Gulls’; and, Mrs. White in ‘Clue’; alongside a raft of musicals.
Claire is a Naval Officer and a cat lady and is thrilled to play the uncommonly coupled Horatio and Rosencrantz roles, alongside being the Co-Director for this production of ‘Hamlet’.

MARCELLUS / GUILDENSTERN
Anastasia’s love for performance began with formal dance training, which then led to a passion for theatre and screen. Her favourite credits include playing Ariel in ‘The Tempest’, Romeo in ‘Romeo & Juliet’, Antigone in an original Australian adaptation, and most recently playing Mina in Steven Dietz’s ‘Dracula’.
Anastasia has performed across Australia and internationally - including the Adelaide, Auckland and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. One of her highlights so far has been touring the production ‘That Bastard Brecht’, a musical ensemble play about controversial playwright Bertolt Brecht. The production won multiple awards at several festivals, and received exceptional reviews.
Having finished a focus on screen acting at NIDA in 2022, Anastasia is delving into more screen work. She is especially interested in the dystopian and sci-fi genres, and the use of fantasy to explore the human condition.
